Reputable Northern CA breeders routinely BAER (Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response) test their litters before pups are offered for placement. Both puppies and adults can be tested. Special auditory equipment is required; regular veterinary practices do not routinely provide this service. If you are interested in having a dog's hearing tested, please contact:
