Rescue

The Dalmatian Club of Northern California (DCNC) Rescue is a service provided by club volunteers to help homeless Dals. These dogs may come from a shelter or an owner's home. They may have been lost, abandoned, neglected, abused or lived contentedly with a family. Though they come from diverse settings, they share a common need for a loving, life long home.

The Dalmatians we place are purebred, can hear and have no known history of biting. We try our best to place dogs of good health and temperment. We spay or neuter all dogs and make sure they are immunized and examined by a vet.

Although there are never any guarantees, with your love, care and a little training, we find that most Dals readily adapt and thrive in their new homes. Regardless of how widely known the saying is, old dogs can learn new tricks. We will be available to help you with behavior or training issues, to answer questions about health or let you know when the next Annual Rescue Parade and Dog Games will be held.

We encourage you to meet a Dal. Attending a local dog show is a good opportunity to acquaint yourself with Dals as well as other breeds. Or email us at spottedtrickdog@gmail.com and request an appointment to meet and play with one of our spotted clowns.

After your research, if you are interested in adopting a Dalmatian, please print the adoption application (PDF file).
